Handmade Pasta in Vienna — Fresh Daily from Our Open Kitchen

At Pasta e Basta, the name stands for our promise: pasta — and nothing less than perfection. Every morning, our kitchen team begins making fresh pasta — by hand, in the traditional Italian way. The special thing: our pasta production takes place in an open kitchen, directly visible in the restaurant. You see what goes onto your plate. For over 25 years, this has been our standard. In a city full of Italian restaurants, Pasta e Basta is one of the few places that truly makes its own pasta — every day, without exception.

Variety of Shapes

From fine tagliolini to filled ravioli — we have mastered the craft of pasta making. Our Tagliolini ai Porcini with aromatic porcini mushrooms or the homemade Spaghetti Frutti di Mare are staples on our menu.

The Open Kitchen

Our pasta workshop is not a hidden back room. Through a glass wall in the restaurant, you can watch tagliolini being cut and ravioli being shaped. This is not a marketing trick — it is our daily quality promise to you.
